A Brief Introduction to Research Grant Consulting

Securing research grants for academic science faculty is a competitive business. Essentially, you are selling your research interests to a group of peer reviewers.  A friendly colleague or consultant acting as a peer reviewer can provide valuable feedback on a research grant proposal before submission. I received such advice as a postdoc decades ago. It was good advice then and remains good advice now in the rapidly changing science research and education funding environment. That feedback might make a difference in whether an application receives a favorable review or is recommended for funding. Getting funded is the best outcome, but moving closer to that point is worth the effort. Read more about how I became a grant consultant on the Home and About Me pages.
